The building has very high space standards, the vast majority of apartments are dual aspect and almost all corridors are single aspect with views out. The building incorporates HAPPI principles.
Project Team:
Affordable Housing Consultant - Red Loft
Architect - Levitt Bernstein
Planning Consultant: PWA Planning
EA / QS: Poole Dick Associates
Key Dates:
Planning Permission - August 2016
Start on Site - March 2018
Practical Completion- February 2021
Red Loft's Role:
Red Loft managed the project from the start, including the identification of the site and the management of the design, planning and construction stages.
Added Value:
We believe the most valuable contribution was encouraging the client to set very high standards for the development, which was entirely for affordable rent. The notable standards are apartment space standards significantly in excess of the norm, a design that introduced natural light to all corridors and two aspects of the vast majority of the apartments, as well as extensive landscaping and quality external spaces.
