Red Loft Appoints Chris Cheeseman as Partner

Housing and regeneration consultancy Red Loft has appointed Chris Cheeseman as Partner.
Chris joins the company as the fourth Partner, alongside Danny Sutcliffe, Neil Jervis and Wendy Hegarty. The appointment marks the continued expansion of the business, which is projecting a 27% increase in transactions for 2019/20, equating to growth of 75% in 3 years.
Bringing impressive residential development experience to Red Loft, Chris’s most recent position was Head of New Business (South) at Clarion Housing, one of the sector’s largest players.
Starting his career, aged just 18, at Homes England (formerly The Housing Corporation), Chris spent 8 years working his way up to a role specialising in capital expenditure. His interest in affordable home ownership led him to roles at Registered Providers including Thames Valley Housing, followed by a 17 year stint at Moat, where he initially joined as Sales and Marketing Manager and moved through the ranks to become Group Director of Development. While at Moat, he worked on major regeneration programmes, and championed key worker housing and was accountable for the delivery of Moat’s affordable housing programme. Subsequently, Cheeseman joined development consultancy, ikon, as Partner, where he provided a range of consultancy advice for clients such as L&Q, Hyde, Peabody and Notting Hill as well as several local authorities.
Demonstrating true dedication to the affordable housing sector, Chris remains Non-Executive Board Chair for Golding Homes, a mid-sized Housing Association offering homes and services to over 20,000 people across Kent, a prestigious post which he has held since October 2018.
